ListenUp! Long Island Music & Arts Festival:

ListenUp! Long Island Music & Arts Festival will be a grand convergence of the arts involving many artists across Long Island. The event is created, hosted, and marketed by our collective ListenUp! Long Island. The event will take place between 6pm, and 12am. This interdisciplinary arts event will benefit the many artists, above all every artist working the event is paid!

Visual Arts: Painters, visual artists, graphic designers, fashion artists, photographers, videographers, and light engineers will all have the opportunity to shine at this event.

Pop up galleries: Painters will be on display throughout the venue creating art live as people walk around enjoying their aesthetic. Painters will have the opportunity to sell their art, and communicate with our audience in order to get greater exposure.

Graphic designers, visual artists, and light engineers will decorate the stage. A light engineer will be hired to make the performers stand out and to light the mood for the crowd. Projections will display the work of graphic designers and visual artists in order to create a more dramatic and compelling event and provide a highly visible opportunity for artists that don’t always have the opportunity to exhibit their work in traditional whitebox galleries.

Photographers, videographers and editors will help document the event, highlighting the work of all of the creators. Photographers and videographers will have the opportunity to capture images for their portfolios as well as this historic moment on Long Island. Editors will benefit from the same opportunity.

Audio and Performing Arts: Musicians, Songwriters, Dancers, Comedians, and Performers will perform on the stage for a huge audience. Bands will have a table where they can sell their merchandise.  One band known as, “Mr. Rooster” went on to perform at a larger event, demonstrating the viability of the event as a stepping stone for bands to gain confidence and propel their career from the event.

Details of interdisciplinary art event: The event will take place in Stereo Garden in the village of Patchogue which has a maximum capacity of 1,100 people. We are anticipating an attendance of 750+ people. The event will be put on by our collective which consists of the artists of the very community that it is designed to benefit. In time we hope to continue to grow the event in order to benefit a greater number of artists in a wider demographic.
